Itinerary
The Mayali Pass Trekking vacation will begin with a departure from Rishikesh for Ghuttu on the first day. It would take you between 8 and 9 hours to travel from Rishikesh to Ghuttu village, which is situated about 138 kilometers away. You will check into your hotel and spend the night there after arriving in Ghuttu.
In actuality, your Mayali Pass Trek will begin on the second day. You will hike today to Reehi village, which is seven to eight kilometers (uphill) from Ghuttu. The walk will lead you through the village of Deolang, where you can enjoy picture-perfect landscapes and rich greenery. You will arrive in Delhi in the evening and check into a GMVN rest house or spend the night in a tent.
You will hike 12 kilometers from Reehi village to Gangi village on the third day. You will reach Buranschauri after the first hour of climbing, and then you will need to go for another two to three hours on foot to reach Gangi, which is situated at an elevation of around 2,500 meters above sea level. You will spend the night in your tent once you get to Gangi village.
Trekking from Gangi hamlet to Kharsoli, which is around 15 kilometers away, is scheduled for the fourth day. The stunning Deokhri Channi, where the Gangi villagers have their winter camp, will be passed by on this trekking route. Before ultimately arriving at the picturesque meadow of Khasoli, where you will spend the night in your tent, you will also journey through entrancingly rich woods.
On the fifth day, you will begin your walk early in the morning from Kharsoli to Chowki, which is 12 kilometers away and sits at an elevation of almost 4,000 meters above sea level. You will spend the night in your tent along the tranquil Doodh Ganga river after arriving in Chowki village late in the afternoon.
You will travel a few kilometers upwards on this day before descending to the stunning Masar Tal, which is located at an altitude of about 3,000 meters above sea level. After an about 5- to 6-hour downhill trek to get here, you may set up camp by the tranquil lake and spend the rest of the day taking in the lovely surroundings.
You will hike for about 3 kilometers early on the seventh day to reach the stunning Vasuki Tal, which is located at an altitude of roughly 4800 meters above sea level. After an about 6- to 7-hour climb uphill, you will arrive at Vasuki Tal, where you may pitch your tent by the picturesque lake and spend the rest of the day taking in the gorgeous countryside.
The focus of today will be a trekking excursion to the holy city of Kedarnath, which is around 5 kilometers away from Vasuki Tal. After a 3 to 4-hour trek, you will arrive in Kedarnath, where you can see the temple and spend the night at a local hotel.
14 kilometers of a hike will be downhill from Kedarnath to Gaurikund. You'll spend the night in a hotel in Gaurikund.
